Windows Live Messenger is a instant messenger program that originally had the name changed to MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. The program Windows Live Messenger or WLM was released by Microsoft as a replacement for MSN Messenger on June 19, 2006.
Some time ago Microsoft was officially confirmed about their plans to close the Windows Live Messenger service in order to fully support Microsoft's Skype service, and finally Microsoft has determined that the date of March 15 will be a day of parting with the Windows Live Messenger service.
In the email notification to the WLM service users, Microsoft said that in mid-March WLM service around the world will be turned off except in the State of China. In addition, Microsoft also recommends to the users in order to switch to WLM service Skype to make instant messaging and video chat service Microsoft's.
With the release of the news, of course, for your loyal users WLM from now should start to move by using alternative messenger services, such as Skype or Yahoo Messenger.
