What Difference Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid Sleep?


if your Windows operating system users, must have been familiar with the name Sleep, Hibernate, and Hybrid Sleep. Yep .. all three are frequently used mode to help conserve battery life when using Windows on your computer or laptop.

These features are very useful, especially when you are using a computer that is not connected to the electricity. Maybe you often use fashion choices, but do you know the difference between Sleep, Hibernate, and Hybrid Sleep? If not, this time I will explain the differences of each mode.

What is Sleep?

Sleep is a power saving mode which is simple but useful, when you enable this feature then all the applications currently running will be stopped, while using the sleep application will still remain. It allows you to be able to quickly resume work when you start Windows again. Sleep is useful to keep the laptop battery performance to remain durable, moreover, requires only little memory.

What is Hibernate?

Hibernate is used when you want to shut down or step away from the laptop for a long time, the state is running a variety of documents or applications, but you also do not want to close the job. With the hibernate feature then all the applications currently running will be stored in the hard disk memory. When back lit, the laptop will immediately be in the last position before ordered hibernate. As well as shutdown, hibernate would completely turn off the laptop, so it does not eat battery power but needs some MB for storing laptops condition.

What is Hybrid Sleep?

Hybrid sleep is another feature saves battery power is relatively new to desktop computers, is a combination of features Sleep and Hibernate. Functioning save all open documents or applications to the memory hard drive, and then put the computer in a lower power state as well as standby. The advantage of using Hybrid Sleep is the case of power failure or power outage, the computer Windows will quickly restore your work taken from the hard drive (fiberfil.sys) which then can be used again when the computer is in a state where the last.
