While Windows 8 was just released last month, Microsoft is now putting the finishing touches on a Windows Blue. Reportedly Windows Blue is about to be released mid 2013.
This is a major change in Microsoft. If previously they always release the operating system every few years, they are now trying to release OS once every 1 year. Looks like this is done to be able to compete with Apple and Google.
Apple is diligent released new version of OS X, so is Google with Android. By participating plunge OS release every 12 months, Microsoft wants Windows OS up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in each year.
