New Release, Dangerous Malware Attack Mac OS X Lion

Recently software Mac OS X Lion Mountain published, it emerged from the security company, Sophos has identified a new malware on the Mac. The malware is called Crisis and Morcut, hiding AdobeFlashPlayer.jar file. Extension 'jar' is referring to the "Java Archive" and simply a ZIP file but have different names, according to the Sophos reported.



If users download malware, Morcut have kernel driver to help him hide, a backdoor component that can open a Mac user to another user on the network, a command and control components that could receive instructions remotely and adapt their behavior, steal data, and so, as expressed Sophos. Sophos warns Mac users not to assume that Macs are safe from malware attacks. Just a suggestion, users are encouraged to uninstall Java if it is not needed, because it can leave gaps that can be exploited by malware authors.
