Symantec has provided confirmation about his pcAnywhere source code that has appeared on the website The Pirate Bay, and possibly at other sites. Symantec pcAnywhere confirmed that the source code that has been posted is legitimate, and are part of the original code version 2006 which Anonymous has claimed to have stolen over the last few weeks. Earlier, on January 26, Symantec apparently advised users to disable pcAnywhere related to hacker attacks in 2006, which the Symantec antivirus product source code has been stolen. After giving improved versions 12.0, 12.1, and 12.5 of pcAnywhere, Symantec gives 'green light' to the user to use it again. Therefore, despite being published on the website, there is no threat of danger to the user. According to Symantec, the code is outdated and if there is any raid, it would still use the product characteristics in 2006.
